Nube Siguenza arrived in the United States 20 years ago from Cuenca, Ecuador (known as “The City of Gold”) to join her younger brothers, Kleber and Vicente in Connecticut. Soon she settled in the New Canaan area and began a family of her own, all the while honing her culinary skills and learning to navigate the restaurant business in the U.S. She has stayed deeply connected to her Ecuadorian roots through annual travels back to the homeland. Her mother has been fortunate enough to join her children in the U.S., where she can be seen lending a helping hand in her daughter’s kitchen. Nube keeps the connection to her heritage of Ecuador and “The City of Gold” strong by bringing the old world each day to the Cava experience. Nube is making her mark as Chef- Owner known for her down to earth style, passion for food, award winning cuisine, and one-of-a-kind personality in Fairfield County.
When Nube is not working in the restaurant she loves spending time organic gardening and cooking with her 2 daughters. She is an avid reader especially books about alternative medicine and nutrition. Nube is also compiling recipes for her upcoming cook book, and loves spending quality time with her extended family. Her favorite meals are filet mignon in a balsamic reduction or a fresh piece of Chilean Sea Bass with fresh vegetables from the garden paired with a medium bodied red wine and a rich dark chocolate dessert to complete the meal.
